African Linguistics School
The School: During the summer of 2013, there will be a two-week summer school that
focuses on the study of African languages and linguistic theory. Like the
first two African Linguistics Schools held in Accra in 2009 and in Porto-Novo in 2011, this school aims at
offering African students the possibility of becoming familiar with new
advances in linguistic description and theory. The school will be held at Lead City University,
Ibadan, in Nigeria , and will center around the following linguistic domains: Syntax,
Phonology, Semantics, Languages in Contact, and Field Methods.
Dates: July 15th-July 26th, 2013 (Arrive July 14th, depart July 27th)
